Preggers with a short cervix - no problem!




A new study came out showing that a little vaginal schmear of progesterone for the second half of pregnancy can be helpful in preventing preterm births for those ladies whose cervix likes to hang low. 

"Using the progesterone gel, which is relatively easy for women to administer to themselves, led to a 45 percent reduction in the rate of preterm birth before 33 weeks of gestation, and it led to improved outcomes for babies. "
